We Explain Everything First

The purpose of your consultation with the doctor is to discuss your health problems, concerns, goals, and to see if chiropractic is likely to help you. If it looks promising, a thorough examination including orthopedic, neurological, range of motion, and chiropractic tests will help identify the cause of your problem. Following the examination, sometimes x-rays or other diagnostic tests are medically necessary to further evaluate a condition, rule out other more serious conditions or assist in the diagnosis of your problem. For your convenience, we have x-ray, bone density testing (DEXA scan), and EMG/NCV testing on site. Please feel free to discuss your concerns or desire to have x-rays or other diagnostic testing with Dr. Carradine.

Following the consultation, examination, and x-rays (if necessary), Dr. Carradine will recommend appropriate treatment for your specific condition. If chiropractic treatment is indicated, it can be provided on your initial visit, if desired. Treatment may include spinal manipulation, extremity manipulation, passive modalities such as ultrasound, electrical muscle stimulation, laser, hydromassage, intersegmental traction, static traction, whirlpool, paraffin bath, hot packs, cold packs, disc decompression or rehabilitative exercise therapy. Home management instructions are also given. If you are not a chiropractic candidate, you will be referred to the proper specialist.

Dr. Carradine Asks some important questions of interest to Boardman residents - Chiropractor Boardman Dr. Carradine Asks...

What can a chiropractor do for asthma?
Many people think of chiropractic as exclusively dealing with the spine. But I'm interested in the spine because it covers the nervous system. Problems in the spine can produce problems in the organs and tissues controlled by the affected nerves—including those to the lungs and bronchial tubes. Find out how chiropractic care has helped those with asthma.
What happens if you stop chiropractic care when you feel better?
Many Boardman folks recognize that this predisposes you to a relapse. Chiropractors know that muscles and ligaments supporting the spine don't fully heal until after symptoms subside.
