Ultrasound Therapy

Therapeutic ultrasound is a form of deep heat therapy created by high frequency sound waves. When applied to soft tissues and joints, the sound waves are a form of micro-massage that help reduce swelling and increase blood flow. We will often use this to treat ligaments, tendons and joint capsules.

Therapeutic ultrasound treats internal ailments with a sound frequency far beyond the maximum that can be detected by the human ear. This noninvasive and painless treatment is F.D.A. approved and has been used throughout the world for over 50 years.

What happens if you stop chiropractic care when you feel better?
Many Boardman folks recognize that this predisposes you to a relapse. Chiropractors know that muscles and ligaments supporting the spine don't fully heal until after symptoms subside.
